Rachel Burke named Irish National Nail Tech

Sligo-based nail tech and educator Rachel Burke has been named Irish National Nail Tech 2019, as nail technicians from across Ireland and further afield gathered to compete in this year's annual Irish National Nail Tournament.

Held as part of the Irish Beauty Show in Dublin, this year's competition saw seven categories, including live competitions, photographic and nail art tournaments, showcasing the huge talent and creativity the Irish nail industry has to offer.

Open to all nail technicians across Ireland, the competition was run by Denise Wright, champion nail technician and nail educator, alongside ABT and the Irish Beauty Show. Supporters and sponsors included NSI, Creative Academy, Gelish, Magnetic Nails, The Beauty School, The Manicure Company, Bio Sculpture Gel, Ez Flow, Asu Nail & Beauty, Astonishing Nails, Le Chat, Crystal Nails Ireland, E.Mi, Morgan Taylor, Pro Impressions, and Beauty Pro.

The event boasted an enviable judging panel of some of Ireland's most elite nail experts, educators and distributors: Emma Harris, Katie Barnes, Inga Jonutyte, Katarzyna Kruszynska, Gosia Ollek, Ilona Konsek, Karolina Boczek, Hazel Dixon, and Jacqui O'Sullivan.

In order to gain her crown, Rachel competed in numerous categories, being placed first, second or third, and gaining 839 points, the most overall.
