Olaplex release new shampoo & conditioner

A new at-home hair care regime has been launched by Olaplex to repair damaged, over-processed hair.

Created by chemists Dr Eric Pressly and Dr Craig Hawker, Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance™ Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance™ Conditioner have been developed over two years to complement Olaplex's existing No. 1 and 2 salon products, and No. 3 at-home Hair Perfector.

The product's active ingredient is Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, exclusive to Olaplex, created using patented technology which helps to protect and strengthen damaged hair by repairing broken disulphide bonds.

Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance™ Shampoo is highly moisturising and leaves hair easy to manage, healthier-looking and shinier. It is colour-safe and helps to maintain the bonds within the hair structure. Key ingredients include Coconut which is gentle on colour-treated and chemically-processed hair, Glycerine to hydrate dry hair, Sunflower seed oil to condition and retain moisture in the hair follicle as well as retain colour vibrancy, and Apricot kernel oil, rich in vitamins A and E and Omegas 6 and 9.

Olaplex No.5 Bond Maintenance™ Conditioner is a reparative formula which is colour-safe and helps to eliminate damage and frizz. Key ingredients include Acai Berry extract, high in antioxidants to promote healthy looking hair, and Omega-3, 6 and 9 and vitamins A, C, E and B which help to promote scalp health. Fermented Green Tea oil adds volume, strength and shine, and its low pH level closes the cuticle helping it to lie flat. Avocado oil moisturises hair, whilst Green Tea seed oil is an antioxidant and moisturises hair.
