Nail Art Step by Step: Alternative Summer French

Having an alternative to traditional a French finish is a get addition to your nail art portfolio. Have a go at this summer-inspired design created by Salon System nail expert Julie-Anne Larivière; a fun twist on a classic using the Gellux collection.

Step One
File the nails to shape, and push the cuticles back with the Gellux Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool and gently buff the surface of the nails with a white block.

Thoroughly wipe the nails with Gellux Nail + File Cleansing Spray and a lint free pad.

When the nails are dry, apply Gellux Fast Bond and let dry for 30 seconds. Then apply one very thin layer of the Gellux Builder Gel in Light Pink. Cure for 60 seconds between each layer.

Step Two
With a fine liner brush dipped in Gellux Dare to Wear, paint a fine line in the centre of each nail tip. This will be your guide to create the half and half tips; do not cure.

Step Three
Now, using the same fine liner and Gellux Dare to Wear, paint a fine line alternating from one side to the other leaving a gap in between, and cure for 60 seconds.

Step Four
Fill in the remaining gaps using Gellux Wild Style, cure again for 60 seconds.

Step Five
Finally, apply Gellux Mirror Glaze Top Coat and cure again for 60 to 90 seconds.

Wipe nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe and apply Gellux Nail & Cuticle Oil to finish your fancy French nails.
