Staggered salon opening may start from 4th May

The reopening of personal services in Ireland from 4th May, including hairdressers and beauty salons, is under consideration.

Opening of personal services on a staggered basis is subject to the prevailing COVID-19 public health situation. This includes beauty and hair services in clients' homes.

Beauty and hair salons and mobile services across the country were forced to close from midnight on Christmas Eve as the country moved into Level 5 of its Plan for Living with COVID-19.

An announcement following a review is due on 29th April.
