Beauty and hair to reopen from 1st December

Beauty and hairdressing businesses across the country are gearing up to reopen from tomorrow (Tuesday 1st December), as Ireland moves to Level 3 of the Framework for Restrictive Measures to help combat the spread of COVID-19.

Salons were forced to close on 21st October as the country was placed into a Level 5 national lockdown, whilst the border counties of Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan were placed in Level 4 a week previous to this.

Now, the entire country is moving into Level 3 from 1st December; Level 3 restrictions allow personal care and close contact services to reopen.

Ahead of opening, you must check for any local guidelines, ensure your business operates in a COVID-secure way in line with government guidelines, and continue to keep your clients, staff and yourself safe.
