I've always loved beauty
Working in the beauty industry was always an ambition of mine. Early in my career I worked in retail for many years, gaining invaluable experience of trends, fashion and interacting with customers with some of Ireland's most well-known high-street brands. I finally took the opportunity to make my ambition a reality in 2009, when I gained my ITEC Diploma with The 
Beauty Academy in Drogheda. I have continued with industry education ever since and am now proudly certified in brows, lashes, advanced 
skincare and science, bridal makeup and of course nails!

I fell in love with CND products
My love story with CND began the minute I used the products. CND lead me to Sweet Squared and once I heard that the company was opening its Irish division, I knew I wanted to be part of the magic. I messaged Samantha Sweet on Salon Geek and have never looked back; in 2013 I was welcomed to the S2 family! By 2014 I was certified as CND Master Painter and became a qualified CND Shellac Educator - or ‘EA' as Sweet Squared refers to its talented team of ambassadors.

My job is busy but fun!
My role at Sweet Squared Dublin is Regional Manager, so I'm responsible for leading the team here at our Irish HQ. S2 is renowned for its patented Love & Respect, so my day-to-day involves ensuring we meet these standards and consistently deliver award-winning customer service. I also oversee education, store events and order fulfilments for our beauty 
professionals in Ireland.

Our new range is very exciting
Last month, Sweet Squared celebrated launching wax:one to market in the UK and ROI. An innovation in professional waxing and designed with the modern active client in mind, wax:one provides an economic yet premium service and we couldn't be more excited about it! S2 is all about going above and beyond for its customers, so we're currently hosting free 
wax:one workshops – aptly named W.O.W.s - for new and existing to come experience the brand for themselves. 

Negative events taught me about resilience
Sadly, we experienced a break-in over Christmas 2016, which was incredibly hard to swallow as there was a lot of damage and it felt like such an invasion to our space. I took this the hardest because I have been with S2 Ireland since it was a building site – I still remember the very first container of stock arriving to our warehouse! – this business is quite literally, like my baby. But we picked ourselves up, got everything fixed and back open to our customers as soon as we could. We've improved our security and the incident has taught me a lot about being resilient and 
learning to move past negative events without letting it get to you too much.

Our customers inspire me every day
Our customers! I love getting to know them and their businesses, understanding what each customer wants and needs from their chosen 
supply partner and hearing their success stories. I love being privvy to those ‘A-ha!' moments when you demo a product that's going to change a customer's work life. When I hear a customer say that if a product is supplied by us it must be something special, it doesn't get much better than that! 

I'm super excited about the futureI see S2 remaining at the forefront when it comes to serving the hair and beauty pro in Ireland. The next five years will bring some exciting developments and I have no doubt that our customers will be as thrilled as we are. I aim to be at the heart of it all! S2 Ireland is my home and I am thoroughly looking forward to what the future holds.
